Meet the brewer at the Railway Hotel Thursday 16th March

As part of Sheffield Beer Week we’re doing an informal meet the brewer at the Railway Hotel on Bramall Lane, Sheffield.

James will be there to talk about the Brew Foundation’s first twelve months, tell you about our beers and about our future beers and plans.

There will also be the chance to taste Laughing Water in 330ml can, unfined and unfiltered for an extra cirtus hop kick. Be the first in the UK to try it!

James will be there at the bar from 7pm and there will be a variety of Brew Foundation beers on offer on cask and keg plus free samples of all bottled beers. It’s free entry but if you buy a ticket from the bar in advance for £5 you get two free pints (well not free, but you get the point).

Any questions drop us a line or call the Railway on 07970 940595.

The Ultimate Tap Takeover 2 – Itchy Pig Broomhill

Everyone loves a sequal, so now it’s time for: THE ULTIMATE TAP TAKEOVER – CHAPTER 2 / (This Time It’s Personal!) All said in an American film announcer voice.

After the success of last time (the pub didn’t burn down) the Brew Foundation is looking after the Itchy Pig Ale House again from Friday 3rd to Saturday 11th March. James will behimd the bar pulling pints all week. There will be, ofcourse, loads of Brew Foundation beer on the bar plus great guest beers from Lymestone Brewey, Wincle Beer Co and Fivecould Brew Co, plus all the usual favourites from Abbeydale, Camden and Curious, et al.

Yes we know this is taking place the week BEFORE Sheffield Beer Week but we’re too unorganised to arrange it for then plus there’s loads going on that week so this is something for you all to look forward to next week. Beer bonus!

Come on down and have a pint, have a chat about Brew Foundation beer and then have some more pints. We’re there all week folks.

This Saturday, 28th January, is the Battle of Nantich re-enactment and the Winter Fayre taking place in the town. We’ll be there from 11am so come on down, have a chat with brewer James and Robert from The Brew Foundation about our beers and future beers.

The Ultimate tap Takeover at The Itchy Pig

There are tap takeovers and then there is this: Next week, Ted the landlord of the Itchy Pig micro pub in Broomhill, Sheffield is going away; so James from The Brew Foundation is doing the ULTIMATE tap takeover and running the pub for the week. To say we’re excited is an understatement!

We’ll be showcasing our latest brew, Janet’s Treat porter during the week, along with a selection of our other beers, and we have sourced some great beers from some other great breweries for you to enjoy. As well as some Sheffield favourites we’ve also tried to get hold of some beers that aren’t frequently found in Sheffield, including beers from: Sandiway Ales, Burton Bridge and Wincle.

We’ll be taking over from Tuesday 8th November through to Saturday 12th. Ted’s back on Sunday to pick up the pieces! Haha. Make sure you come on down for the pint or three and say hi to us one evening!

We look forward to seeing you at the Pig next week!

Meet the Brewer on 30th August at Little Tap, Tarporley

This coming Tuesday, 3oth August, James from The Brew Foundation will be doing a “meet the brewer” at the Little Tap in Tarporley.

James will be there from 5pm until 7pm to answer any questions about The Brew Foundation and our lovely beer. It’s a free event, so all are welcome.

Even better than that is: The Little Little Tap have got lashings of Little Bitter That for you to try for free! So if you haven’t already been lucky enough to have a pint of it, it’s a great opportunity to come on down, have a chat and have some free beer! The perfect way to spend a Tuesday evening!

As you all know we were asked by the guys at the Little Tap to make them a malty, fruity session bitter for their fantastic new bar and restaurant; so we gladly obliged. Little Bitter That is now available in other bars and bottle shops across Cheshire, Stoke and Sheffield but it’ll always be the Little Tap’s beer and is always available on their bar for all to enjoy.

You can find the Little Tap at 69 High Street, Tarporley, CW6. We look forward to having a drink with you from 5pm on Tuesday!
