Two amazing beer festivals this week

This week, two of our favourite CAMRA branches are holding their annual beer festivals and there are Brew Foundation beers at both!

The Stoke Beer and Cider Festival is taking place at Fenton Manor Sports Complex from Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd October, and the Sheffield Beer and Cider Festival is taking place at Kelham Island Museum from Wednesday 19th October to Saturday 22nd October.

At the Stoke Beer Festival there will be Hops & Dreams and Little Bitter That, and at the Sheffield Beer Festival there will be Pop and Little Bitter That.

Both festivals have a mind boggling range of beers, ciders and meads on offer, with Sheffield also having a keg bar! There is entertainment and food at both but be aware: make sure you get there early in order to avoid disappointment because both events are incredibly popular. We’d hate for all the beer to have gone by the time your arrive.

Meet the Brewer on 30th August at Little Tap, Tarporley

This coming Tuesday, 3oth August, James from The Brew Foundation will be doing a “meet the brewer” at the Little Tap in Tarporley.

James will be there from 5pm until 7pm to answer any questions about The Brew Foundation and our lovely beer. It’s a free event, so all are welcome.

You will be able to find out about our future beers (one is being brewed as we speak) and you’ll be able to sample our full current range. Even better than that is: The Little Little Tap have got lashings of Little Bitter That for you to try for free! So if you haven’t already been lucky enough to have a pint of it, it’s a great opportunity to come on down, have a chat and have some free beer! The perfect way to spend a Tuesday evening!

As you all know we were asked by the guys at the Little Tap to make them a malty, fruity session bitter for their fantastic new bar and restaurant; so we gladly obliged. Little Bitter That is now available in other bars and bottle shops across Cheshire, Stoke and Sheffield but it’ll always be the Little Tap’s beer and is always available on their bar for all to enjoy.

You can find the Little Tap at 69 High Street, Tarporley, CW6. We look forward to having a drink with you from 5pm on Tuesday!

Here’s James from The Brew Foundation giving a sneak peek of what’s on offer on Saturday evening:

Brew Foundation team up with new bar Little Tap

We’re chuffed to announce that The Brew Foundation has teamed up with the Little Tap in Tarporley and we’re about to launch a new 3.8% bitter called Little Bitter That.

We were contacted by James Ivill and Myles Carr who are about to open an exciting new bar in Tarporley near Chester. The Little Tap will specialise in craft beer and “small plates”, inspired by Spanish Tapas, allowing customers to enjoy several plates of fresh British food accompanied by a fantastic range of craft beers.

The duo had first sampled our beers at the Beer Dock in Crewe and enjoyed them so much that the got in touch about getting a Brew Foundation beer permanently on their bar. They wanted a lower ABV bitter that could be enjoyed by all. The brief was: a session strength bitter with all the malty, fruity flavour of Bitter That, our existing 5% extra special bitter. So we took up the challenge! After some considerable taste testing by all involved (it’s tough but we all managed it) Little Bitter That was born. Brewed using dark crystal malt and pale malt to give it a rich copper colour and 5 English hops, Little Bitter That is the ideal quaffable, malty fruity ale.

The Little Tap opens it’s doors in July so follow them on Facebook here for updates. We’ll also keep you posted.

Little Bitter That will be available from next week (30th May) in our usual stockists and any pub can stock it, so get in touch if you’d like to. If you’re wanting to sample it then head over to the Little Tap as it’ll always be on there.

See you all at the Little Tap soon!
