Janet’s Treat

Janet’s Treat Porter is back in cask, keg and bottle!

We were only going to brew Janet’s Treat Porter once a year at Christmas time but it went down so well that we’ve been asked to brew it again…so we have! The latest batch of Janet’s Treat is going into cask tomorrow and bottles and kegs will be available again in about a fortnight.

This cherry, chocolate porter is a collaboration brew with Wincle Beer Company (where we cuckoo brew out of) and we’ve added even more real cherries this time. Lots of chocolate malt is used to add rich chocolatey bitterness to balance against the cherry sweetness. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Get in touch if you’re a pub who’d like a cask or keg, or keep your eyes peeled in your favoruite watering holes and bottle shops for it.

It’s the Sharrow Vale Christmas Market on 4th December!

On Sunday the 4th December it is the Sharrow Vale Christmas Market! The Sharrow Vale Markets are always popular but the Christmas one is awesome, with loads of fantastic stall holders selling all the Christmas gift ideas you can think of.

We’ll be there with our bar selling pints of Janet’s Treat Porter and First Light on cask, plus Hops & Dreams and Laughing Water on keg.

We’ll also have special offers on our bottled beer gift packs (4 beers for £10 in a Christmas gift box) that make the ideal Christmas present for … anyone who loves beer!

Make sure you come on over for a drink, a Christmas pressie and to say hello.

The Ultimate tap Takeover at The Itchy Pig

There are tap takeovers and then there is this: Next week, Ted the landlord of the Itchy Pig micro pub in Broomhill, Sheffield is going away; so James from The Brew Foundation is doing the ULTIMATE tap takeover and running the pub for the week. To say we’re excited is an understatement!

We’ll be showcasing our latest brew, Janet’s Treat porter during the week, along with a selection of our other beers, and we have sourced some great beers from some other great breweries for you to enjoy. As well as some Sheffield favourites we’ve also tried to get hold of some beers that aren’t frequently found in Sheffield, including beers from: Sandiway Ales, Burton Bridge and Wincle.

We’ll be taking over from Tuesday 8th November through to Saturday 12th. Ted’s back on Sunday to pick up the pieces! Haha. Make sure you come on down for the pint or three and say hi to us one evening!

We look forward to seeing you at the Pig next week!
