Guest Brewery #2 Tryanuary Edition Electric Bear Brewing Co.
As beer lovers we always have great pleasure of discovering new breweries, such as Electric Bear Brewing Co. that was why we wanted to launch the Ale Club. Since opening we’ve seen the bar constantly rotate with beers brewed from around the world, crafted with unique flavours.
Tryanuary is all about celebrating independent breweries, there’s so many who are doing a great job, making it hard to choose just one, but sometimes you’ve gotta be ruthless like Simon Cowell.
Electric Bear Brewing Co. from Bath have been going down well so far this month. Werrrd! is the perfect session American Pale. Coming in at 4.2%, the subtle fruity flavour gives a balance leaving you wanting more.
The Bath brewers started in 2015 and they have gone from strength-to-strength. After establishing themselves in their first year when they mastered the classics which have become the core to their collection. These beers have been picked up by suppliers and pubs around the UK (including the Ale Club). Their beers include a range of IPAs (black, double, American-style), red ales, pilsners, porters, stouts and of course the APA.
Creating the perfect APA is great but Electric Bear like to have fun. Prior to forming the brewery, the team were all home brewers (some continue to do so for the love of it). They knew that they could make a decent beer but it wasn’t easy to be consistent when working in poor conditions.
Like true craftsmen, it was all hands on deck to build the brewery that they wanted, allowing them to excel and share their passion in the easiest way. They faced challenges but you can taste the triumph in every pint, especially those more experimental beers that are brewed on a small scale.
If you are visiting Bath (apparently it’s a nice place) on a weekend, the Electric Bear tap room is open Fridays 12pm to 10pm and Saturdays 2pm to 6pm. Not only can you enjoy a pint straight from the source but you can bring the whole family as it’s child and dog friendly too!
